Sinus Trouble
and no pics. I figure nobody wants a picture of my sinus cavities.
Well, I went to the doc today. No relief in sight, really. I am starting on antibiotics and nasal spray (steroidal) and we'll see how it goes. I go in for a CT scan two weeks from today and then they'll see if it's getting better.
Have a great day!! I got some beautiful yarn. I'll try to post pics later. I wish I felt like knitting. Maybe next week!!!!

3D and Headaches

Well, I had my MRI yesterday morning and at 5:30 yesterday evening they called me with results. That's pretty quick! When I saw that it was the doctor's office, I admit I was a little nervous. I was so relieved that they found my problem, though!! I have chronic sinusitis and the reason we didn't suspect a sinus infection is because it is in one of the back cavities (that I didn't even know existed)... I have no stuffy nose or anything like that. The problem is that sinus medication doesn't actually help because sinus medication treats symptoms and my symptoms are different than most. The other problem is that chronic sinusitis isn't easily cured and can last for years. I will be going to an ENT doc to get further treatment. Meanwhile, I suffer.
Today I had to go to Salt Lake City for a work meeting. J went with me and we went to lunch and saw the 3D IMAX movie, Deep Sea 3D. If you haven't seen one of the 3D IMAX movies yet, you really should! They are so amazing. It's how I always imagined 3D as a child. It was amazing to sea all of the sea life RIGHT THERE in front of me. Pretty cool. But now my head feels too heavy for my body so I'm off to find some rest. :O)

A whole month?!

Well, I realize it's been over a month since I posted. Unreal.
This has been one of the busiest months of my life. I have been commuting a couple of hundred miles (round trip) to train on a new job. Most of the week I spent at my parents house where I didn't have time or access to update the blog.
I spent a week in Vegas where I took this lovely picture. I had internet access, but have had such bad headaches that working on the computer has not been so fun for me. We stayed in a very nice room at Caesar's Palace and it was fun to walk around and see the sites and do some shopping. But mostly I soaked in some of that wonderful desert sun and rested. I do love the desert and miss it!
This morning I had an MRI to try to find out what's going on with the headaches. I'm sure it's nothing serious. Having an MRI is a lot like having the top part of your body put into the overhead compartment of an airplane - while it's moving. It is very loud and vibrates a lot and if you're claustrophobic - take a sedative first. I am not claustrophobic, though and found the whole experience to be kind of interesting. If they had played Pink Floyd and had lasers it would have been a good show.
The only bad part was that I had to have a shot of dye and I don't do so well with needles.
All in all an interesting morning.
I won't be doing the knitting podcast anymore for anyone who has wondered. For those of you who have sent me personal email I thank you and will do my best to get to all of them in the next couple of weeks now that life has slowed down a bit.
For those of you who are interested, I am still doing my other
podcast. I am a Mormon and it is from the perspective of a Mormon Mom (actually three Mormon Moms - my sister and cousin do the show with me).

I am still knitting/crocheting, of course and will continue to post pics of projects. Since the headaches started I haven't knit or crochet a stitch, but here's this is a picture of a little poncho I've been crocheting. The eggs on top are blown out empty eggs that my cousins little boy thought would look great on the "nests" in the Living Room. :O)
Hope you're all well and happy! It's good to be back.
